"War does not determine who is right, only who is left." - Bertrand Russell
--PROMO BEGIN--
As i stand here before you, all of you, the greatest wrestler in this company, in the whole goddamned world even, and i look around at the people around me, my comrades, brothers and sisters in arms and those who will stand beside me until the very last drop of the referee's hand as it counts to three, i know that this revolution that will come to pass in the coming weeks and months is going to be fierce, going to be extreme, going to be one of the greatest wars in this business.
But the thing is, as i look around at my colleagues, men and women willing to fight for what we believe in and completely and totally destroy this company if need be, i know that there is only one way this war is going to end.
With us victorious.
Battles will be won and lost, blood will spill and bones will be broken but at the end of this thing, there will only be one winner. It doesn't matter who else tries to stop us, whoever else thinks that they possess power great enough to halt this ideal, this revolution, but no matter who they are, whatever they do won't be enough.
Roxi's little band of insane superheroes, The Ass-ity, or the New Generation Jobbers all are powerless to win this war. Sure, Roxi may have won a battle in the Sin City championship, but in the end, nothing will stop us from winning this war. At the end of the day, all those insignificant wins are doing is just adding fuel to the fire, the fire that will sweep over this company and burn everything in it's path.
You can try and try all you want, at the end of the day the result will always be the same. This war will be won by arrogance, not by superheroes, not by assholes in stupid jackets, and definitely not by a group of jobbers with an old fart as their leader.
And that brings me to my point. The point we're trying to make.
We. Will. Not. Be. Beaten.
Sure, you worthless people may try to believe differently, you can try all you want to cheer your little "superstars" to victory and desperately try to buy enough merchandise that corporate won't have any choice but to stack the odds against us - yeah, like they haven't done that already.
They can put a biased bitch of a general manager in charge and try to fire us, hell they can put some of the best wrestlers in the world against us, and in the end, nothing....will....change. Because this ideal isn't one that can't be beaten easily, this isn't something that is just swept away like the latest fad, no, this is real, this is as real as can possibly be and the only thing that could possibly make this revolution come to it's end is when we finally reach our goals, and change has been brought upon the halls of Millennium Pro Wrestling.
Only when we have capable people in charge, when we have those who actually know how to run a wrestling company with equality and who don't give out second chances after third chances after fourth chances, only then will this company be proper once again, and only when we are on top of this company, dominating it just like we're dominating it now, will MPW truly be cured of this plague.
Only then will we be cured of you people's influence, only then will the curse of popularity finally be lifted and will the popularity problem itself be solved. Sure, you can still cheer and throw your money down on the counter for a worthless Ash Soulsfate t-shirt so you can show your ten million facebook friends, but once we're finished, do you know what effect that will have on what we actually do?
None.
Zilch. Zero. The square root of jack shit. Absolutely nothing whatsoever.
Because once you people are ridden from what we do inside the ring, and are simply limited to whatever you do outside the ring, then everything will be so much more peaceful, so much better for all of us.
Of course, for that to happen, things need to happen. The wheels of justice need to be put in motion, and just like everything i've said over the past month, things are going to get a whole lot worse for Millennium Pro Wrestling before they get better. And believe me, things are going to get a whole lot worse as this war continues to rage on inside that ring.
Because as long as people oppose us, we will have no choice but to wreak havoc both inside that ring, and outside it. As long as there is people who continue to fight for the forces of greed, power, and complete and total ignorance, there will be casualties. And i really couldn't give a fuck who we go through to achieve what we want to achieve.
We'll burn down every building in sight if necessary. We'll knockout every single person on the MPW roster and we'll break as many bones as possible if it means we can eliminate those who oppose us. It's like i said.
The End Justifies The Means.
The end, in this company, is the end of the war. The end of this conflict and the time when arrogance can flourish freely, without any interference from the useless fans or any of those greedy corporates having to get involved in what we do, how we perform and who gets what.
The means; well, they're whatever we like. The law doesn't faze us, and it definitely doesn't faze me, i'm a firm believer in doing whatever it takes to obtain the goal, whether or not some rules have to be broken to achieve that, well, rules were made to be broken.
Because at the end of the day nobody is going to be talking about how we did it, or who the victims were. No, in the end the only thing they'll be saying is that arrogance reigned supreme....again. All they'll be saying is that despite all of the efforts from those who tried to stop us, all of those naysayers who seriously thought they could stop something much, much bigger than them, at the end of the day, Arrogance was victorious.
Roxi Johnson, the apparent leader of this "resistance", at least said something right when she said that her loss to the Power couple of MPW - that'd be Bliss and I if you're stupid enough to think otherwise - that it was simply a battle that was lost, and the war was still raging on.
Roxi, you were exceptionally right when you said that the war was still raging, but unfortunately for you, whether you're aware of it or not, the war is going to end up exactly the same as the battle that occurred two weeks ago.
With arrogance on top.
Last week was a very minor setback - we still hold nearly all of the titles in Millennium Pro Wrestling, and i can guarantee you that when the time comes we will have them all, no matter who we have to fight. Arrogance will reign in MPW.
You better believe that. You better believe....in....arrogance.

"Kahlan, are you trying to ask me to move in with you?"
There was a long silence. She knew that this question wasn't just our speculating anymore, wasn't about us joking about what we'd be like as normal people, living a normal boyfriend/girlfriend life living together normally. As i heard the words escape from her mouth, my heart almost stopped beating.
Did i really want to get into it with Kah like i got into it with Lexi and Lyss? Was i really prepared to let myself get sucked into lightning striking a third time? Surely those past experiences would keep me from going through with this, surely everything i'd been through in the past with women would keep my mouth from agreeing to possibly being left heartbroken....again.
"Yes." I guess the connection between my mind and my mouth is as loose as everybody says.
"Really?" Kahlan looked at me with a mixture of surprise and relief, but part of me knew that beneath that shell of confidence and divinity, there was still a speck of fear, however small it may have been. After all, both of our last partners hadn't exactly been the greatest times of our lives, and i knew she had just as a fucked up love life as i did.
"Yeah. Absolutely. I would like nothing more than to spend every day with you." I find myself getting really sappy really quickly, it was a side of me that i couldn't stand and yet couldn't reject. "Not that i don't do it all the time" I grin as she smirks.
When she'd sat down and looked at me with those beautiful eyes, i could tell there was going to be a question asked. I was thankful it wasn't the question i was expecting. Kahlan and I had just settled down into whatever this was - whether it was getting serious i wasn't sure, but when she'd sat down and started to ask me the question, i thought it was going to get real serious real quick. After all, my relationships tended to have gone through that trend.
Thankfully, it hadn't gotten that serious - moving in i could handle, it was the other stuff that scared me to death, probably because of my past experiences, combined with my general distaste at getting serious. And yet, there was something in this girl, something that drew me to her and something that made me think that she may be the one, the only person for me.
Pushing thoughts of full commitment out of my mind i smirk at her as we kiss, not a sloppy, heated kiss like usual but this time much more sensual and much more intimate, as if it was healing all the scars we'd received in our previous relationships, in more than one way.
"Listen, Kahlan, i know after what happened with that bastard last time, and in fact the bastard before that." She smirks. "You've had it rough, i get it, but i won't hurt you, ever. I know you must have thought long and hard about this, and to tell you the truth, there's a thousand thoughts running through my mind right now warning me of the danger. But i don't care."
"Drake, its okay. I just wanted an answer. I know you've had experiences with this in the future, but believe me, i'm not like Electra. And from what you've told me, i'm not like Alyssa either."
"You got that right. You're about three times as sexy as both of them combined."
"I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or hit you for being a pig." She said, grinning with that smile that i can't help but adore.
"Why don't you just let me..." I said, moving in as i pulled Kahlan in and tried to engage her in another lip lock, but she stops me as our lips near.
"I'm still mad at you." She says, referring back to the situation we had before when i'd wrongly assumed Bliss's real estate agent was actually her new boyfriend.
"I know, but that makes it much more fun." We both grin.
"Again, you're such a pig." She says, grinning.
"And yet you're still here." I wink at her and move in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The feeling of the accelerator as the pulse of the engine runs through my foot and up my leg is a sensation like no other, and as i grin and feel the power of the V12 shoot through my body, the sensation like no other of feeling something truly incredible at my fingertips, as if you're the most powerful person in the world.
And right now, i am.
I push down hard as i see the rev counter shoot off of the screen, and in the corner of my eye i see her hair fly all over the place as her face lights up with excitement. The feeling of the wind flowing through your hair is an exhilaration not usually felt while going over a hundred miles per hour.
"WOOOO HOOOO!!" She screams, yelling with excitement as i grin and laugh, pressing down hard on the brake as i flick the wheel quickly to the right and feel the air now press against the side of my face as the traction control fights to keep the car in check.
I had walked out of the hotel room with Bliss last week knowing that things were going to change once this thing took place, once the wheels started spinning and we were both living in the same place officially - not like we practically didn't already. We went and saw the house on Monday and i fell in love with it even before i stepped inside.
It was perfect, everything from the size to the color of the walls to the pool in the backyard, i could see us having a lot of fun at the new place. And it gave us something bigger than just my condo to go to after wrestling. It would be nice to actually live in my own house for the first time in years.
The air pushes against the side of my face as i hit the apex of the corner perfectly, feeling the car's balance in my feet as i feed the power on and off through the oncoming bends, and push it firmly down as i see the open straight reveal itself before me. Kahlan looks amazed not only at the car but the track itself - and rightly so, it was an incredible track.
"I never knew you could do this!!" Kahlan screams over the sound of the massive AMG V12, producing over 720 brake horsepower. I laugh and yell in glee as i pull the car over another tight bend, kissing the apex at the precise moment. Yeah, Schumacher had nothing on me.
"I didn't completely lose myself in wrestling." I say, grinning. "Ever since i was young i loved cars, i figured all of my spare cash could go into my hobby. I've got nothing else to do with it." My hand travels down to the gearstick and i pull down hard, feeling the car move in unison with me as is spears around the corner.
"Wow, i mean....wow." Kahlan says as we slow down and enter the pit lane, watching as the track assistants help refuel and replace the tires. I managed to convince Kahlan of coming down to the track with me, i was able to get a discount because i knew the owner and i came there so often, and i couldn't think of a better place to test the new car i'd just bought.
"What the hell kind of name is Huayra anyway?" She asks as she gets handed a bottle of water and hands it to me.
"I dunno, the Italians are mental. But that's how they can make things like this." I run my hand over the steering wheel as i take in the beauty of the Pagani. "Anyway, get the camera ready, let's shoot this thing."
Bliss pulls a handheld camera out of the bag beneath her seat and she flicks the on switch as i run a hand through my hair, looking directly into the camera.
"Ladies and gentlemen, scum of the world and scum of the MPW universe. My name is Drake Hunter and you should all know me by now, as being the best wrestler in the fucking world. And yet, the people in corporate still seem to think that by putting me up against this leader of the so-called "resistance", Roxi Johnson is somehow going to take away all the momentum i've - and we've - been building over the past couple of weeks."
"Well Roxi, you my friend, are sadly mistaken. Actually hang on a second, you're not my friend are you? Isn't that right? Because you hate me so much? I'm glad that i managed to be the only person in the world that you can truly hate, and that's a good thing. Let that hate fuel you, let the anger sweep through your bones and let it drive you like i'm driving this wonderful machine right now."
"Roxi, i want you to come out this week and show me exactly how much you hate me, exactly how much momentum you've got heading into this falls count anywhere match after you beat my girlfriend last week and stole her Sin City championship, that she deserves. You don't have anything - sure you've got a title, but not for long, and sure you've got a couple of friends, but seriously, come on, like they're going to be helpful at all."
"Lots of people have said that when you step into the ring with me you're not stepping into the ring in a one versus one contest, but rather stepping into a five versus one contest. And guess what, they're probably true. Because we think, act, and wrestle, as a unit. We are not something that can be divided and conquered, we are the ones who divide and conquer."
"I don't think you quite understand the gravity of this situation, the situation we're trying to cure here. You are part of the problem, and i don't expect you to see the problem. You're trying to bring about a world which you believe is equal, where the fans get their say and where everybody gets second chances and blah, blah, blah...blah."
"You know what i hear when you say that? I hear a great load of bullshit. Because you're never going to bring about your idea of a new world, and you know why? Because that's the exact kind of world we're trying to stop, that's the exact thing that this revolution is going to deal with, and at the end of the day, when you're laid out on the mat and we're standing tall, i hope you finally believe in arrogance."
I press down hard on the accelerator again, although not enough that the engine noise would cloud out my speech.
"But that's not going to happen, is it? No, because you're fighting spirit is too strong, isn't that right? You're too much of a hero to believe what the "baddies" are saying, so you're going to be stuck in your foolish, ignorant ways and simply have to watch as change sweeps over this place like a wildfire. And don't worry, we'll deal with you, just like we dealt with everybody else who stood in our path."
"In whatever way we have to."
"So i hope you're preparing yourself for this week, because i know that this match is going to blow the roof off of the arena, again, just like last time, when - oh that's right - i beat you. Just like i beat Ash Soulsfate. Just like i beat you and Stark last week. Just like i'm going to beat every single person who stands in our way."
"So good luck Roxi, and Sweet Dreams. Because you'll learn to believe in arrogance soon enough."
