"For a successful revolution it is not enough that there is discontent. What is required is a profound and thorough conviction of justice." - B.R. Ambedkar

--PROMO BEGIN--

One step ahead....

Ha, it's funny that you think you're one step ahead of me Ash, it really is. But here's the thing, while you may think that by dropping me on my head onto some concrete you're one step ahead of me, here's the thing.

You'll never be one step ahead of me...

You saw that, everybody saw that this week, because this was just one more piece to the puzzle. This was another message to be sent to our ever so beloved World champion. Well, how do you feel now Ash? Are you still feeling so in power, on that high that you got when you slammed my face down onto the concrete and damn nearly broke my jaw?

But that doesn't matter, because i know what your answer is. You have no power anymore, you know that i hold all the cards, you know that we have your number. You're quarrel with Johnny Clash is gone, just like your World title will be gone from your fingers after Road to Glory. You have nothing left to cling on to besides that World title, you no longer hold any power, no matter how much they give you.

How did it feel Ash, watching the body of your boyfriend Trey Baxter being pulled out after i slammed a car into him and practically ended his career? How did it feel watching his body crumple under the pressure and watch his complete career flash before his eyes? And when you look at what happened to him, just remember.

I did this. I ended your little boyfriend's career just like i'm going to end your title reign at Road to Glory. I know that you're backed against the wall right now, but i also know that you're not going to give up this easily, and why would you? We're going to show the world next week, we're going to make history at Road to Glory and we're going to go out there and give all the people their money's worth.

But while they may get their money's worth, they will not get what they want. Because what they want is for Ash Soulsfate to be standing on top of my prone body victorious, holding his shiny piece of gold high in the air. But in the words of Roxi Johnson's finisher...

Reality Bites.

And reality will bite all of these people where it hurts when their favorite little "superstar" is laid out on the mat, beside me, while I am the one holding the Millennium Pro Wrestling World title high in the air with my comrades surrounding me and our cause in full swing. Because next week i end this reign of a fake, I end the reign of a phony, and the reign of the Age of Arrogance begins atop the company.

And i can assure you, that when that happens - and it will happen - there will be nothing that can stop us, there will be absolutely nothing that can stand in our way, as we dominate this company like never-before.

Ash, you will be the beginning. You will be the start of this revolution, because after Road to Glory there will be no more if's, buts, who's, or why's. Everybody will know the answer to the one question that has been plaguing the wrestling world for the past couple of weeks.

Drake or Ash?

And the answer, Ash, is me. I am going to walk out of Road to Glory with the World Heavyweight champion around my waist and i am going to bring about not only the end of your reign as the man on top of this company, but also the reign of the dictators we have in corporate.

After this week, there will be no peace in this company until the revolution begins. Because once it begins, there will be no need of peace. Because once the revolution begins, anarchy will reign, violence will flood the arena, there will no longer be any need for cowardly hit and runs and the world will be a much happier place.

But until then, there is a message that needs to be spread. And we are the ones who will take on the burden of bringing this company into the revolution, into the new era.

An era of change, a time of a violence, an Age...

Of Arrogance...

--PROMO END--

"Do you always drink that stuff?" She says, looking at me with a tired expression as she leans half out of the bed. It gives me a good view of her face that was only moments before resting on my chest, asleep.

"Yeah, why?' I answer, casually lifting the can of VB to my mouth and feeling the cold liquid run down my throat, and I smirk. She looks at me with the same tired expression mixed in with a smile.

"It's ten in the morning." She says, moving back to lie down on the bed she'd gotten very used to recently. "Come back to bed." She says, trying to get comfy to fall asleep again.

"Never thought i'd be hearing that from the Goddess." I say, moving towards her, and she throws a hand up at me as if she's too tired for this banter. I grin as i move towards her and plant a kiss on her forehead like couples do when they've been together for a long time. It was a possessive kiss, one that showed how  much i'd gotten used to her coming over.

"You never did answer my question." Bliss says, turning her head towards me. "What does this make us? It's gotten way beyond just casual sex in the middle of the night and you know that."

"That's true, it's also got to us fucking in the kitchen." I say, an arrogant grin swept across my face, and she punches my arm playfully. "I've got an interview to do for this week, and you'll probably be gone by the time i get back." I wink at her.

"Yeah i do, I've gotta get going, my flight leaves in a couple of hours." She says, finally willing herself to get out of bed. As she gets out i see that - to my delight - she didn't put her t-shirt back on after our "activities" and as she bends down to pick up her t-shirt, she notices me looking.

"Having a good look there Hunter?" She asks, and i respond with a laugh as i pull on a t-shirt of my own and have another swig of beer. It's never too early to drink, in my opinion.

"So how are you feeling going into Road to Glory? I mean under that cold, hard exterior surely there must be some nerves in there." She asks, very rarely did we incorporate business with our pleasure, but getting so close to Road To Glory and with the match this week i think we both figured we could start letting it all out.

My expressions changes as i grab the now empty can of beer and drop it in the trash can, thinking about everything that is to come and everything that will occur in Dallas.

"Not nervous, just planning, calculating. There's still a lot of things to be done, including this week." We eye each other - it was the first time any of us would be teaming up - including Ash and Roxi - and we knew that fireworks were destined to fly once we were all in the ring together.

"To answer your question though, i'm not nervous at all. Because i already know i'm going to win, and i already know that the wheels are in motion - just like they were in motion last week when i ended the pathetic career of Trey Baxter." Bliss looks at me and i can see the smallest bit of fear over my actions of the previous week. It was right for her to show that fear - after all, everybody else had.

"You seriously did make an impact, that's for sure." Bliss says, smiling once more as she finishes putting her clothes on and walks out the bedroom door. I smile at her and she winks as she leaves, the same walk that she does every other night as she leaves the hotel room.

It's true, i had no nerves going into what would undoubtedly be the biggest match of my career, and i also had no regrets as to what i did on Thursday, when i ended Trey's pathetic excuse for a career and slammed a car into him, possibly breaking nearly every bone in his body.

I pull my jackets over my shoulders and onto my body as i run a hand through my hair, feeling the breeze come in through the window as i look out of it towards the clear sky. Everything was going according to plan so far, and it would continue to go to plan right up to the point when i would be standing on top of Ash's body with the World title in my hands next Thursday.

This week, it's time to set an example.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I step out of the bright orange Lamborghini and i'm immediately swarmed by at least a dozen reporters and their cameras, all trying to get a good word in from the challenger for the World championship in a week's time and the next World champ.

I spot a couple of senior men and women in the mix, but overall the mess of reporters is filled with young men and women all trying to improve their careers with what would undoubtedly be their biggest interview ever. With me, it always is. I grin as Chris Cable as he steps out of the car behind me, Andre in tow, and finally Kuk entering from the third car.

The fans immediately start booing and cheering as we step out and move past them, but in all truthness i couldn't care less about what they think. They don't matter, and never will. We join together as a group, all with the Age of Arrogance branded clothing on, and i turn around and point both fingers to the back of my jacket with the AoA symbol on it.

"Drake! Drake!" I hear a collection of reporter voices say all around me. There are fans with Age of Arrogance and Drake Hunter signs mixed into the crowd, but the majority is booing and hold anti-AoA signs, so it looks like nothing's changed.

"Drake how does it feel going into Road to Glory, which is only now one week away. What's running through your head knowing that this is the last stop before Dallas?"

"How do i feel? I feel excellent actually. Why wouldn't I? Knowing that i'm going to be the next MPW World Heavyweight champion in just a week's time, and knowing that tonight i'm going out there and kicking the asses of two of the people i most resent, and two of the people i'm saving this business from. So yeah, i feel pretty good." I say, still walking towards the big double doors.

"Any words on your so-called 'revolution' that your bringing to Millennium Pro Wrestling? What exactly does this revolution involve?"

"There comes a time when every dictatorship angers their people so much that something has to be done. I'm the leader of that cause, and just like what happened to Trey Baxter last week, just like what will happen to Ash Soulsfate at Road To Glory, i'm going to make sure that those corporates have no more lackeys to do their dirty bidding."

"Revolution brings about change. And this is the era of change. This is the Age of Arrogance." I say, moving through the double doors into the stadium.
